Từ ngày 21 đến ngày 25/11/2011 tại Đại Học Sư Phạm TP.HCM sẽ diễn ra hội thảo về Hội thảo về Thiên văn học và Vật lý thiên văn.
Hội thảo được tổ chức dưới sự hợp tác giữa Hiệp Hội Thiên Văn Quốc Tế (IAU) và các trường đại học Việt Nam (Đại học Sư phạm TP. HCM, Đại học Quốc tế - VNU) với nội dung xoay quanh các vấn đề nghiên cứu trong tâm của thiên văn học hiện nay.

IAU-Vietnam Workshop on Astronomy and Astrophysics (Ho Chi Minh City, November 21-25, 2011)

There is no participation fee. Participants can be partly supported travel and lodging expenses during the workshop.

The workshop is organized by the cooperation between International Astronomical Union (IAU) and Vietnamese universities (Ho Chi Minh City University of Pedagogy and International University – VNU,  Ho Chi Minh City).

The purposes of the workshop are (i) to provide a forum for astronomers and astrophysicists from Vietnam and other countries to discuss their research and (ii) to introduce current research topics in astronomy and astrophysics to undergraduate and graduate students in Vietnam.

The workshop covers contemporary research topics in astronomy and astrophysics including:

• Sun and Climate, Exoplanets/Solar
• Physical Characterization of the Stars: Understanding Dynamics, Chemical Composition and Age
• Brown Dwarfs
• The Dynamics of Star Clusters and Planetary Systems
• Cosmology I, II, III
• Cosmic Rays
• Interferometric Observations of Circumstellar Envelopes
• Dark Matter
• Observations at 21cm & Gravitational Lensing
• Pico Satellite
